Friday Funny Video – Star Wars

Friday, August 5th, 2011

This 3 year old is just a bit to0 hep to Star Wars. I do not think my kids could describe a movie like that when they were that age. They never even paid attention to movies until we took my oldest son and daughter to see E.T.

When E.T. and Elliot took off on the bike and flew through the air escaping the bad scientists my son shouted, “They won’t git E.T. no more!”

Good times.

Music That Moves Me – Price Tag

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

When I first heard this song I was driving my car. The beat and lyrics immediately grabbed me and I found myself singing the chorus and swaying to the tune. It really made me want to bust out with the dance moves. But as I said, I was driving. The singer is Jesse J and she comes from across the pond. Her style sorta reminds me of Cyndy Lauper. A little quirky and so darn cute. Nice set of pipes too.

She too knows that girls just want to have fun.

Hope you enjoy it as much as me. Feel free to sing along and if your like me and you want to dance please pull the car over first.

Buddy Jumping the Pole.

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Sort of short post but if you want you can check out Buddy jumping a pole. He took a bit of a spill but he is a trooper. Next week I will take my camera and get some more photos of these two and me of course.

Oh, please excuse my butt at the end. I did not know I was being filmed or trust me I would not have bent over. Good thing I started working out two months ago or that could have been really scary. ;)

Field Trips For All: Educating Kids One Class at a Time

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was very pleased when asked to write about Field Trips For All. As a child, I loved to go on field trips. When my kids where small I would jump at the chance to go on school field trips with my each of my children’s class. I remember one particular trip near Halloween. My youngest son and his class went to a pumpkin farm. It was fun, but I ended up carrying three huge pumpkins all by myself. But, that is another story for another day.

Right now Lunchables Lunch Combinations is sponsoring a contest to help kids all over the country experience an incredible, educational program called “Field Trips For All.” With so many budget cuts in schools these days, it is estimated that more than 30,000 schools will eliminate field trips altogether.

Do you know a deserving child that would benefit from this program? Well, if you do you can nominate that child and his/her classroom. Check out this video of a group of children visiting the Columbia Memorial Space Center. The video is called Alien Field Trip and it is priceless.

Was that not a great video? The kids were so fascinated with the aliens and that experience will last a lifetime! This could even inspire some of the kids to get a career in science. One of those kids might even grow up to become an astronaut. So please, you can see so how beneficial this program is. I plan to nominate my granddaughter Butterfly’s class. I know she would love to go on a field trip. Also, please come back here and leave me a comment on who you nominated. If your child’s class wins, please come and tell me about it. I would love to do a follow up post about the class experience.

Once again, it is truly my pleasure to blog about Lunchables Lunch Combination’s Field Trips For All.

Calendar for the Fallen

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

I found this  video Fox News this morning. Patricia Boyd, a two blue star mom came up with the idea to create a calendar that honors fallen service people from Minnesota.

This is a wonderful idea. Something every state should think about doing.

Passengers Singing Hey Jude in Newark

Monday, January 4th, 2010

I am sure most people have heard about the security breach at the Newwark Airport on Sunday night. At least these travelers tried to make the best of things when Josh Wilson led them in a rendition of Hey Jude.

I tried to embed the video but it is not cooporating. It is Monday I guess. Watch the passengers singing.

How Would You Like $5,000?

Friday, November 13th, 2009

How would you like to win $5,000 or a big screen HDTV or maybe even the Flip UltraHD camcorder? Do I have your attention? I thought so. So what do you have to do? It’s simple. Just make a video in one of these three categories:

1.  “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”

2.   “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”

3.   “You should see life after the iLASIK Procedure”

Next, submit the video to iLASIK Video Contest. Then tell all your friends and have them vote for your video. People can vote once per day until December 10.

There will be one first prizewinner of $5,000. Three second prizewinners, one in each video category and three third prizewinners, one in each video category.

If you already have an existing video, you can get help editing it for the contest. So get busy people, get creative and have fun because the winner just might be you!

Baptism

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

On Sunday, August 2nd I baptized my daughter Cinderella and granddaughter Butterfly. I was most honored and did so in memory of  my grandson, Lolly Pop Kid.

We are the thirteenth group in the video. It was a wonderful day. You have to wait a few seconds. But it is worth it.
