When it Rains, it Pours.
As I wrote on my other blog I lost me job last Friday. The next day I opened my laptop to begin my job search and wouldn’t you know it, my computer was frozen. It would boot up but I was not able to get it to do anything. After nearly pulling my hair out, banging my head against the wall, and letting out a low gutteral scream I composed myself and called my mother. Grandma M let me use her laptop and currently my laptop is at my local big electronic store in the hands of people that know far more than I about technology.
It would seem that I contracted a virus that is threatening to destroy my hard drive. I can only hope that my files will come back intact. This is why you back up your files people. Yea, the irony is not lost on me. Funny, I am getting ready to write another post on Chocolates about this very subject.
Guess I am a bit of an authority on this at this point.
Just waiting for the skies to clear and the sun to come out.

Backup Those Files.
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carbonite for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Do you ever worry about losing all your files and data on your computer? I do. I have so many photos and files that I would hate to lose. These days most people have digital photos. Not too many people use film any more.
Carbonite works in the background on your computer and backs up your files while connected to the internet. You can have peace of mind knowing that those precious photos you took of child’s first steps or that great vacation you and your partner took last year are safe because Carbonite provides computer backup securely and automatically.
The storage is unlimited and once the files are backed up you can access them anytime by going to the Carbonite site. You can also use any internet connected device to access your files and there are apps for ipad, ipod Touch, Android, Blackberry, and iphone. So say you are not at home with your computer you can still show Grandma the latest photo of your child playing at the park or spilling that bowl of spaghetti over her head.
Right now you can try Carbonite for free for 15 days. There is no credit card required and you will get the first two months free when you mention the offer code BLOGAD and sign up for a year at the low cost of $59 a year.
Think of it as sort of like fire insurance only better because in the past if you had a fire there was no way you could replace your photos. Even if your computer dies and you have to get a new one your files are safe with Carbonite.

Music That Moves Me – Mean
I am not the biggest Taylor Swift fan. I like her fashion sense more than anything but I kinda like this song. I guess she wrote it to get back at a music critic that told her she could not sing and would never go anywhere.
She has also penned a few songs about some ex-boyfriends. Seems if one had a bad break up with Taylor it comes out as her next hit. I guess that is one way to get back at someone.
I really like the boots she has one in this video. Makes me want to go out and get a pair to wear with a cool dress. Probably not a fringed dress like hers but cool nonetheless.
Butterfly, keep practicing because that could be you some day rocking that fiddle!

Our Newest Musician.
Butterfly, my granddaughter has taken up the violin! I am very excited for her and can not wait to hear her play. On another note she will soon be adopted by Tango, Cinderella’s husband. I am so happy for all of them.
Good luck with your new musical adventure Butterfly and early congratulations on your adoption!

I Found a New Toy.
I found this little site that lets you put together collages of fashion and interior design. You can create style layouts just like in fashion magazines. It is a lot of fun and who knows maybe my fashion and design sense will improve.
Anyway, I created this set. My oldest son is probably getting married soon. I say probably because he currently married to the military. They have the final say in his life. Just like a wife would but to a much bigger degree.
I would so rock this dress (If I could afford it that is).

Protection for Sprint Cell Phone Users.
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sprint for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Do you have Sprint cell phone service? Well if you do there is a great new app that can help you find your phone if you happen to misplace or lose it. The Sprint Total Equipment Protection app feature works with the Android, Blackberry and other select phones.
The Sprint Total Equipment Protection App not only helps you locate your lost phone, it will sync your contacts, remotely wipe your phone, lock your phone, and even sound an alarm! Now, if you lose your phone or have it stolen you can protect your information and receive a replacement phone.
Let's face it we depend on our cell phones to store our information, contacts, and other miscellaneous details of our lives. I love my smart phone and the ability to access email, internet, and know that I am not tied to a land line at home.
The app works using GPS technology. There is a deducible of either $50 or $100 but without it you could pay $449 for the EVO or $299 for the LG Optimus.
Sprint customers have until August 30th to download this app. Even new customers that did not enroll in TEP can still participate in Open Enrollment until August 30th. The Total Equipment Protection app is included in your $8.00 a month TEP plan and so worth the peace of mind knowing your information is protected and not vulnerable to identity thieves.
To learn more about this service please visit www.teproll.com and check out this video.
If you depend on your Sprint cell phone then think about protecting your information by adding this app to your protection plan.

Thoughts on Decorating.
Last night was so incredibly nice. It started raining around 4:30pm and continued for the next few hours. I turned off the cooler and attic fans and just enjoyed the cool, natural air. I love when the monsoon comes and cools down the desert.
I opened the bedroom windows to allow the breeze to flow through the house. I was reminded of this grommet curtain set I saw while surfing the internet the other day. My bedroom windows only have mini-blinds and I have been longing to dress them up a little. My only problem is the walls are brick and that might prove a little hard in putting up curtain rods.
Another task I need to tackle is shoe and clothes storage. Right now my shoes line the top shelf in the closet and the floor. All in all I do not have as many shoes as most women but still, I do have my fair share. I only have one small dresser so I hang a lot of clothes in the closet. I started looking at a variety of storage baskets as a way to better organize my closet. I like the way they give a nice, clean look.
Hopefully I can get some of this taken care of in the near future. I guess I will just keep surfing the net until I find the perfect curtains and baskets.

Music That Moves Me – Moves Like Jagger.
I always liked Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones. They were the bad boys to the Beatles’ good guys. Jagger definitely had his own unique dance moves. Since I am all about dancing I could get into his groove easily.
This video by Maroon 5 and featuring Christina Aguilera documents the dancers trying out for the video and later performing in it.
The interview with Jagger is particularly funny because he had no idea how long the Stones’ run would go. I don’t know for sure but I do believe they are part of the reason the term, “Rock Dinosaurs” was coined.
Oh yes, this song does move me.
*Warning. There is a little nudity in this video so if your easily offended then skip it.*
