Febreze Home Collection – Walmart Gift Card Giveaway.
I was given the opportunity to review the new Febreze Home Collection wooden wick candles. Febreze was nice enough to send a wonderful gift pack that included three candles from the collection. Rosewood Plum, Orange Honeycomb and Cranberry Pear. There are six additional scents Pomagrante Mango, Greentree Citrus, Willow Blossom. There are three seasonal scents available Anjou Pear Spice,Yumberry Sangria and Gingersnap Vanilla.
I am not sure which one I liked the best because they all smell heavenly. They are a nice size and last 80 hours. I really like the wooden covers because it makes them look like a more expensive candle.
They also make a little crackling noise while they burn, sort of like a fire. This is a nice touch. I love candles and usually have one burning on a daily basis.
So here is what I would like to know. How would you use this candle. Would it be in the living room. Maybe in the bathroom?
So, I am giving away a $15 Wal-mart gift card so one lucky winner can try these candles. To
enter leave a comment and tell me what scent you would like to try and how you would use it. You can also follow Frebreze Home Collection on Facebook.

My Dog Has A Wart And My Power Cord Is Dead.
Yes, my power cord for my laptop finally gave out and and rolled over to play dead, only it was not kidding. So I was on a mission on Friday to find another one. I had a problem though as I could not read the part number and since I was not using my computer I could not remember exactly what the model number was for that either.
I ended up taking it to work and have a pair of younger eyes read the number. Finally I googled the part number directly and came up with a refurbished one for $19.99. Dell wanted $65.00 bucks for theirs! I do like to get a deal on my purchases so this made me very happy. I just received an email saying that is was shipped this morning. So hopefully, another couple days and I will be happily typing on my little, red machine again.
How am writing this you say? Let’s just say I am in an undisclosed location and leave it at that. M’k?
Now on to dog warts. Lucie, my big red dog has this little growth on her ear. It has been there for a little while. I finally had it checked and it is a skin tag or what is a wart on dogs. Basically, it is not cancerous so it will just stay there unless it get really big and starts to take over her head. That would not be nice.
Ahh, nothing like having a dog with a wart.

You Capture – Animals
I like this subject. I love, love, love animals. If I could, I would have more than the three that I currently have. I thought about going to our local zoo and taking some photos, but that did just not happen so I just took photos of my animals.
This is Lucie, my big red dog who I frequently write about here. She is almost two years old and I rescued her when she was seven months old. I am not really sure what her breed is. I was told she was a Lab/Shepard mix but then I saw a photo of a Rhodesian Ridgeback and I think she might have that breed in her. Does not really matter because she is my sweetheart.
Lucie loves her chew bones. This is one that I fill with peanut butter. Pure exctasy for her.
She also like rawhide bones. It took her three days two chew the ends off this one.
Here she is giving my leg kisses. She loves her mama.
This is Buddy, my long hair Chihuahua. He is almost ten years old. I guess that makes him almost seventy in people years. He is a bit crotchety and aloof, especially around Lucie. Still, he is my little man and has been a great friend to me over the years. He is also afraid of heights and will spread his legs out like a flying squirrel when picked up.
Buddy likes to gorge himself with water. After that he usually does what call yak. Here he is after one such yaking session. Yuck!
This is my kitty, Angelina. She is eleven years old. She is the granddaughter of a cat named Olive that belonged to my daughter when she was in high school. I also had her mother named Angel. Olive and Angel are now in cat heaven. I wrote about all three on a site that I actually made with a Webtv. Now I am really dating myself. If you want to read about the adventures of these three cats go to Olives’s page, Angel’s page and Angelina’s page.
Angie likes to sit around on the couch and hiss at Buddy and Lucie. She always hides when people come over. Except when my Dad, Grandpa DingDon comes over, then she will jump into his lap. Oh, BTW, today Grandpa DingDon is 85 years old.
Happy Birthday Dad!
If you wondering why I only took two photos of Buddy and Angie it is because they refuse to pose for me. Not the case with Lucie. She is more of a ham.
So those are my pets. Love them all and I think that will always have pets. Too bad I can not live on a farm so I could have many animals and many gardens. One can only wish.

Dream, Dream, Dream. Dream, Dream, Dream…
I had a real crazy dream last night, or actually early this morning. My dog Buddy woke me up around 4:00 to go outside. Small dog, small bladder. Anyhow, after he got done doing his business I thought about staying up and watching some news or something because I get up at 5:00 and usually have trouble going back to sleep after Buddy’s potty runs. Well, I laid back down instead and felt like I really was not asleep. You know that feeling of between being fully awake and fully asleep.
Apparently, I was asleep because I found myself smack dab in the middle of this nutty dream. It started in my house which did not look like my house. We were throwing my granddaughter a birthday party, which we did on her last birthday. So I know where the setting of this dream came from. I came downstairs, I live in a single level house, but I have always wished to live in a two story house. I look around and I see a whole lot of people in my house. I suddenly realize that I have no food. I have no idea where that came from because we have food.
Next I see my daughter, Cinderella and she is wearing a Mormon frock. You know the dress with the long sleeves and high collar. Strangely, I do not ask why she is wearing this dress. I have been watching Big Love so that might explain that. She goes on to show me a cell phone that is red and black. Next, everyone goes outside and I am the last to go outside. When I get in the backyard I see that Corvette has turned on the water and the whole yard is nothing but mud. I also see that my garden is covered with a black plastic tarp.
I see all these people walking through the muddy yard. I go up to Corvette and ask him why he turned the water on. He just looks at me with a blank look. I then see a guy with work boots that are covered with mud. I turn to Corvette and say, “Do you see all that mud on that guy’s boots?” Again, blank stare.
But here is the most horrifying part. The people start walking ALL OVER MY GARDEN. And if you have been to this blog before you know that I LOVE my garden as I post about it weekly. Anyway, I kept trying to scream, “GET OFF MY GARDEN!” But, sometimes in dreams when you try to talk or run you find you can not do it. Well, this was the case in my dream. Try as I might, I could not get the words out. Finally I did but instead of the words staying in my dream, I actually shouted them out loud. Apparently I must of been pretty loud because at that moment Lucie, my big red dog leaped off my bed and ran out of the room!
I did not lay down again because there was no way I was going back in that dream! Funny thing is I never saw Butterfly, my granddaughter and I did not know anybody there except my family.
Sorry Miss Lucie, but that is my garden and nobody walks on it. Ever.
And, I do not think the Everly Brothers had this kind of dream in mind.

See How My Garden Grows – Thank God It Finally Cooled Off
Finally, temperatures under 90 degrees. I shut off my AC and opened some windows. Last week, Corvette decided to harvest. I guess that is ok, except he picked a perfectly good bell pepper that I was hoping would get bigger. He sheepishly walked up to me with said bell pepper and MORE cucumbers. I am looking into pickling them. And pickling Corvette for picking my pepper before it was full grown. Grrrrr.
Anyway, here is the harvest this week.
Peppers before picking.
Like the red.
More peppers to add to Corvette’s collection. Yippee.
This may someday be an artichoke. I am hopeful, but not convinced.
Holy Cow! I think this is a zucchini growing on my bean fence. Where are the beans? Oh yea, evil sun.
Corn is looking good.
Hah, evil sun!
A red dragonfly on the corn
Pretty wildflower.
And Miss Lucie Lu, my big red dog. She chose to lay on my thongs. Lazy girl enjoying the cooler weather.

Oh, For The Love Of Printing.
When I was in school for graphic design, I had to take a printing class. We learned about the whole process from start to finish. I found it fascinating and enjoyed the class. We design business cards, letterheads and brochures to name a few.
My teacher actually used to own a print shop so he was very knowledgeable about the print process. Everyone got a chance to run the presses so we got hands on experience. We also got to visit a print shop and take a tour. This class was valuable after I graduated and designed things for clients.
For a while, I worked in a print shop, but as a customer service agent. The only printing I did there was on copy machines, but it was still fun. I wanted to move into a design position but I just could not stand being in a customer service position as I had at one time worked for twelve years in the grocery business where had experienced loaves of bread hurled at me and customers cussing me out.
Anyway, I am still very interested in design and print. I found my knowledge helpful when I started blogging and freelance every now and then. Unfortunately, I do not live in a city that has many design firms. Still, I am glad I have the design and print knowledge.
Want to win an iPad? I know I do. Since I am on the subject of printing and design if you go to Printrunner.com iPad Sweepstakes you just might do exactly that. I just entered so get on over there and enter for your chance to win a cool new iPad

See How My Garden Grows – Pepper Series
Well, the only thing surviving in my garden right now is peppers. Trust me, they are not peppers that I like so much. I have no desire to burn my mouth off. But, they are pretty to look at.
Nice colors!
I can not eat them, but I can enjoy the colors.
Just look at that Bell Pepper. Back at you evil Sun!
Look, corn!
Love that corn baby!
I saw a grasshopper sitting on the wall of my house. I ran to get my camera to try and snap a photo of it, but my big, red dog Lucie had other ideas. Like eating it. Damn Dog.
After that, she took some time to pull a sticker out of her foot.
Then she sheepishly looked at me for ruining my grasshopper shot. Lay down Luce.
